This château was built in 1235 by the Counts of Mâcon. Its four feudal towers, and two 18th century tours look down imperiously on a peaceful, romantic garden. The rooms are pleasant and carefully looked after, matching the warm welcome given to guests. A highlight is the 'Suite du Parc', located in the tower under a gothic arch. Igé is located South Burgundy to 12 kms of Cluny, a land of vineyards and terroir produce, copiously used in the restaurant. The small Louis XIII lounges provide a fine showcase enabling guests to appreciate the full worth of the fare. You can also choose to eat in the pleasant veranda or on the flower-decked terrace.
