The Château de Busset, overlooking the Allier Valley, is both a medieval fortress and a Renaissance building, whose Italian influence smoothes the original design of the building erected towards the end of the 13th century. The walls, the moats, the huge keep and the very elegant and imposing Orion Tower bear testimony to the erstwhile strength of this sumptuous building. Today its gardens, swimming pool and prestigious lounges all combine to ensure an outstanding break in what used to be the Bourbon Busset family residence, the only family to be have its name used by a province : le Bourbonnais.
